~Our Guidelines~ Here at johnnydeppfriends, it is our hope to provide a website that is fun, entertaining and comfortable for all Johnny admirers who choose to visit or post with us. This, we believe, can be accomplished with a few simple guidelines rather than a heavy-handed approach. We hope to create a light-hearted Johnny Depp community with the goal of having a lot of fun with one another while we celebrate the reason that we all came here in the first place...and that is our love and appreciation for a talented and gifted (not to mention, bloody handsome!) favourite actor.
~Protection of Privacy~ Over the years, Johnny has made it very clear that he values his privacy as well as that of his family. It is because of our love and respect for Johnny that we make every effort to honour his wishes in our own small way.
Therefore, we request that there be no posting of pictures, links, inferences or information regarding the locations of Johnny's homes, offices, family's homes or any of his personal itineraries or modes of transportation or speculation about his or families’ whereabouts, unless this information is publically released by his representatives.
We request that our members not post any pictures/videos of Lily-Rose and Jack, nor post links to paparazzi sites which host images of the children. We also ask that our members not discuss Johnny’s children in any way, other than in general terms. This should be no hardship if we pause to remember that we also share in the responsibility of protecting the children from unnecessary scrutiny.
~Paparazzi-Free Since 2007~ Adhering to our roots as Johnny Depp Admirers, in this new community we continue our mandate not to support the paparazzi in any way. We request of our members that there be no posting of any paparazzi photographs and/or video and no public posting in the forums of links to sites which host paparazzi pictures and/or videos. If there is uncertainty as to whether an image is paparazzi or not, please do not hesitate to contact an admin via pm with your question. We do understand how confusing the paparazzi thing can be. If a pap picture is posted inadvertently, it will simply be removed by an admin. No worries.
~News~ Please post all news stories including the link to the original article. All posted news must have a verifiable source. We ask that our members avoid posting news items originating from unreliable tabloid sources such as The Sun, Contact Music, TMZ etc. If you are unsure, please contact an admin via pm before posting.
~Board Decorum and Language~
We have been at this Depp message board business long enough to know that the use of playful, sexual innuendo is both funny and reflective of our natures as healthy women who recognise the beauty and innate sexuality of Johnny Depp and we love to talk about it. However, witty, sexual innuendo is one thing. Vulgarity and crude sexual references pertaining to Johnny and/or yourself is quite another. These types of posts will be deleted.
This message board is predominantly an adult site with adult content and the moderate use of adult language is both expected and tolerated. However, we request that repeated and excessive use of any expletive be avoided.
~Internet Safety~ We ask that our members avoid posting any personal information or requesting the personal information of other members in the open forums. Please exercise caution when exchanging personal information with anyone.
~Avatars, Signatures and Picture Posting~ ** The maximum size for avatars is 150x150 pixels.
** The maximum size for siggies is 500x200 pixels.
** Personalised siggies and avies are a wonderful way to express individuality and creativity. We do ask that all siggies and avies be Johnny-related.
** Please ensure that all posted pictures do not exceed a width of 800 pixels.
~Other Guidelines~ ** Please treat your fellow members with kindness. Rude, disruptive or intentionally hurtful posts will be deleted.
** Please refrain from posting your personal religious or political views.
** Please do not use text abbreviations or ‘chat-speak’. We ask that our members use regular grammar when making posts, remembering that not all our members use English as their first language and that translation software may not be able to decipher the post content.
** Please use sparklies and emoties sparingly.
So, our dear friends, that is about it. Our guidelines. Simple. Easy to remember. If you have any questions or concerns, problems, suggestions or if you just want to share a compliment (!), please do not hesitate to share it with us, either through a pm or an email.
